A man in a Santa suit robbed a Florida bank by placing a wrapped present
on the counter and indicating it was dangerous, police said.
Port
Orange police said a man dressed in a Santa hat, beard, white wig and
sunglasses set the wrapped package down on the counter of the SunTrust
bank in Port Orange around 3:15 p.m. Monday and indicated to the teller
that the package's contents were dangerous, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel
reported Wednesday.
Police Lt. John Jakovenko said the Santa left with an undisclosed amount of cash and left the package behind.
The package was examined by the Volusia County bomb squad and determined to be harmless. It's contents were not disclosed.
