There are strong indications that president Goodluck Jonathan might appoint ousted chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party as the new Defence minister.
Bamanga Tukur resigned as the chairman of the PDP on the 16th January, 2014. At the NEC meeting of the party, where the resignation was accepted, President Goodluck Jonathan said he would offer Tukur tougher responsibilities.
Will the astute businessman turn politician be able to handle the security challenges in the country?
