Three years after he was accused of killing, Titilayo, his banker wife, Akolade Arowolo has been sentenced to death by hanging.The trial judge, Justice Lateefa Okunnu of an Ikeja High Court while delivering her judgment, Friday, found Arowolo guilty on a one-count charge of murder.
"I pronounce the defendant guilty and accordingly sentenced to
death,” Justice Okunnu pronounced. Akolade burst into tears after the
verdict was read. Arowolo Akolade, stabbed his banker wife to death on Friday June 24, 2011 after a domestic dispute at their home in Isolo, Lagos.
