Records war: Timaya ditches Patoranking, signs Banky W's boy, Skales

Fast rising dancehall star, Patrick Okorie popularly called Patoranking has parted ways with Timaya’s Dem Mama Records.

The ‘Alubarika’ crooner teamed up with Timaya’s led Dem Mama Records in 2012 prior to the release of his smash hit that garnered him wide acceptance amongst music lovers. After a short spell with the record label that launched his career into mainstream prominence, the music star has teamed up with Foston Musik in a new deal reportedly worth a bounty.

Patoranking’s recent effort, ‘Girlie O’ was released under the imprint of his new label.

Following his new deal with Foston Musik, Patoranking is now a proud owner of a new Range rover SUV and an apartment in Metro Garden, Lekki, Lagos.

In confirming the latest development, Patoranking was quoted as saying ‘Yes, it’s mine; it’s my record label that got it for me o! Foston Musik’.

In other news, EME’s former act, Skales has reportedly been linked to a record deal with Timaya’s Dem Mama Records. The label currently houses dancehall star, Timaya, Recobah, Allenian and T.J 2 Solo.
