Monarch, brother docked over N40m fraud

The traditional ruler of Ipupe community in Ubalaka Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State, Eze Chima Ubiaru and his brother, Patrick Ubiaru, a soldier, have been docked before an Abia State High Court sitting in Umuahia over alleged misappropria-tion of  N40 million.

Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission said the money was part of the N60 million released by the Federal Government, through the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited, to the community as compensation for the relocation of shrines in the sacred forest of Okota.
