AMVCA 2014: Mercy Aigbe praises hubby in award speech

Actress Mercy Aigbe was overwhelmed with emotions when she won her award for Best Indigenous Movie (Yoruba), and had some pretty sweet words for her husband, Lanre Gentry during the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

After a mix-up with Yoruba and Hausa award presentation, Mercy was called out to accept her plaque and she was all lovey-dovey as she thanked her husband and family.

‘I dedicate this award to my husband, Olanrewaju Gentry. Thank you for urging me to strive to be the best at what I do. I will love you till eternity.’

Mercy and Lanre have a son, Juwon, together. She also has a daughter, Michelle, from her previous marriage while Lanre has 3 daughters from his former marriage.
